The Da Vinci Code in Concert
After selling over one hundred million copies of the world bestseller «Sakrileg» by Dan Brown, the film adaptation of the book under the title ‘The Da Vinci Code’ was the second most successful cinema release in film history in 2006. The mystery thriller starring Tom Hanks and Amélie star Audrey Tautou combines an atmospherically dense narrative with loving details and a great acting performance. The success of the film was also due in no small part to the music by composer Hans Zimmer, with which he made a decisive contribution to the impact of the film: with the help of Richard Harvey - who composed the music for «Luther», among others - Zimmer expanded his concise sound language to include sacred choral chants, creating an effective and stirring soundtrack. In November 2025, the film celebrates its world premiere in the concert hall: while the blockbuster is shown in full length, highly acclaimed film music specialists, the 21st Century Orchestra & Chorus conducted by Ludwig Wicki, perform the original soundtrack. In an unforgettable live experience, the music will be perfectly synchronised with the action on the screen, sound for sound.
